DECATUR, Ala. ( WAFF) - Hands Across Decatur is opening a warming center on Monday ahead of the cold front. The warming center will open at 6 p.m. on Monday at 1027 5th Ave SE as temperatures are expected to reach the low 20s.

What started as a simple family tradition has grown into a full-scale Christmas light show at the Brix family farm on Garver Church Road.

Firefighters found one victim inside the home. That person was pronounced dead at the scene. Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn says he believes Susan Beck, 62, of Decatur, died in the fire. Beck's body is being sent to the Alabama Department of Forensics for further investigation.

DeKalb County Police said the man was taken to the hospital, where he was in stable condition at last check. Police said the stabbing happened around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday night.
